Please note:ALL of our soaps are made from pure, natural real soap bases without detergents & surfactants (such as SLS and SLES). They are very mild on any skin type. This does not, however mean they are "tear free". "Tear Free" commercial soaps, washes and shampoos are actually worse for skin and hair than ours will ever be, but they contain a chemical numbing agent for the eyes making them appear to be gentle. Unlike these products, ours are NOT loaded with artificial detergents. "Soaps" made from detergents are NOT considered soap by the FDA, they are cosmetics. At SMA you get real soap made from a real soap base. Ingredients are as follows:Saponified VegetableOils, Kosher Glycerin, Purified Water, Sorbitol (natural berry derived moisturizer) , Sorbitan oleate (emulsifier), Soy Protein (conditioner), titanium dioxide (in the opaque soaps), *fragrance, and *FD&C food-grade colorant.
*Unless you order fragrance and/or color free.Fragrance and colorants are a mere fraction of an ounce per bar and are 100% body safe.
Some fragrance oils (i.e. those based with vanilla, such as vanilla cream, vanilla mint, buttercream, and even cotton candy) may discolor the soap over a period of time. If soaps are a gift, be sure to give them within a couple of weeks of purchase to make sure you are giving them in true color. This is normal, and will not affect the scent or the quality of the soap.
Soaps made with opaque (white) base are all colored pastel. If you over color white base it will stain your tub, your skin, washcloths, etc. You simply have to use too much colorant. So our opaques are made only in pastel colors. Soaps made with our clear base can have richer colors such as red, but you may be able to see through them. Each soap listed will have the colors/fragrances that they come in.
